Welcome to my Life, "Please Come In"

Little fashionable me! As you can see I started to become aware of fashion at a very early age. I wish I had that little hat and coat today.

I love designing vintage inspired clothing. My signature line, "Vintage By Bonni Lanese" was born. I've always loved old movies, the glamour the wonderful fashions, hairstyles and also the home furnishings of the times. Sometimes I'm so engrossed in looking at all the backround etc. I forget to listen to the dialog of the movie.

Everyday I create something new. Sometimes it's just in my mind but will come to life eventually, and thank you for visiting me.

Newest designs for Alice

I love this peach crepe fabric with a silk overlay for the skirt. It will be a fabulous neckline. I call it the Marilyn because it looks so much like the type of cloths that Marilyn Manroe would have worn. This dress has a great drop fitted waist and a swing skirt. So very feminine and pretty. I'm starting to work on it this week.
I'm going to leave you with another quip: That was a great one from Bette Midler, I love it!!

YIPEE What a great show

I met my long time high school girlfriend up at the Island this last weekend, Put-In-Bay, Ohio. She is a wonderful artist, becoming quite accomplished. We set up next to each other for their annual Art In The Park Art Show. It was loads of fun and very rewarding in many ways. My friend Marsha, and I got to spend the weekend together at her parents place. She lives in Pensacola Florida so we don't get to see each other but twice a year. Friendships are so very important and they become more and more valuable as we become older.
Reminds me of another quip:
We are no longer passing through the world, but digging deep and collecting moments.

Margaret Thatcher once said

"I am extraordinarily patient, as long as I get my own way in the end". I love that and agree!

Quips and wisdom's from bonni

Nostalgia is a slow dance in a large circle. Memories don't organize themselves chronologically, they're like smoke, changing, moving, fading.

Glamour Girl Robes by the Millions

A Glamour Girl robe is a vintage style robe made similar to a 1940's dress. Made of chenille fabric, sometimes made from bedspreads in a past life. this makes them very unique. I also make them of fleece for winter and light weight stretch satin in floral prints for warm weather. The fitted style with the tie front is the most popular style but I also make a swing coat style too.
